This infomercial, with John Beck talking about foreclosure properties, for pennies on the dollar, is that?
For Real?
of course not.. if there was such a thing would they be selling it on midnight tv and not buying everything for themselves ?

Infomercials are scams.
If you live in a place like California you should be able to find deals, but prices will drop a lot farther. This is a really bad time to buy real estate.

Only if the property is worth pennies on the dollar. There are no magic schemes for making money, except selling worthless ideas over the TV to uninformed people.
And I disagree, it is a great time to buy real estate in California IF you are planning to hold 5 years or longer.

It is a scam, just like all of the "get rick quick, real estate workshop." They make money by selling all the books and CD.
The information inside is bunch of useless information and even if you are super lucky, it still does not work, they teach you to look for some super dumb home owner who hates money a lot when there is good market. There is no such home owner. It is better off to hope you will win a lottery ticket than following their advice and got pissed off.
Market is going to go down a lot , there are a lots of Real Foreclosure co. and government "HUD" home for sale
But they are not selling pennies o the dollar, they are about 65%-80% of the market price. But there still a lots of risks involved too.
