MLS Listings?
I live in Fort Mill and am looking at possibly purchasing another home. I found a few that I am interested in on Realtor.com but it doesn’t give street addresses. So I tried to plug the MLS numbers (they are 7 digits?) in on a few other sites and they don’t recognize them?? Why is this and is there some other way for me to search??
In Fort Mill try carolinahome.com. That is run by the local MLS…I’m actually from the area, and know exactly where Fort Mill is…that will give you the addresses you seek, and will even map it for you.

MLS stands for "Multiple Listing Service". It’s the system used by Realtors to reference listings in a particular area. You can try other systems like the website for the Realtor who is listing the property. I don’t know why they wouldn’t be recognized on another system. Try searching for the same criteria you used on Realtor.com to find the house also.
When all else fails, contact a Realtor – a referral from a friend or neighbor is one way to go. The Realtor can give you the address so you can do a drive by of the house and see if you like it, and show you the home if you do!

MLS information is usually only available to Real Estate Professionals. Realtor.com is banking on the fact that you will have to contact a real estate professional to get the information for you – The website should give you the information for listing broker that has been hired by the seller to represent the property and the transaction. They should be able to provide you with the information that you are looking for. You can also always ask when the next open house is – They would have to give you the address for you to attend – Lots of luck!
